— Iran critical of West’s ‘blame game’ in JCPOA talks
Iran on Tuesday hit back at Western parties to the 2015 nuclear deal over “persisting in their blame game”, a day after European diplomats gave a pessimistic assessment of talks in Vienna to revive the accord.
“Some actors persist in their blame game habit, instead of real diplomacy,” Iran’s top negotiator Ali Baqeri Kani tweeted.
He said Iran “worked constructively and flexibly to narrow gaps” through its proposals.

Iran’s nuclear chief on Tuesday rejected the International Atomic Energy Agency’s request to access a centrifuge component manufacturing workshop near the capital Tehran, saying it is beyond the IAEA’s safeguards.
“The issue of the Karaj site and other cases [negotiated] in the JCPOA are outside of safeguards,” Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), told reporters in Tehran, referring to the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.
— Pentagon: No US troops to be punished over deadly Kabul drone strike
The Pentagon said Monday that no US troops or officials would face disciplinary action for a drone strike in Kabul in August that killed 10 Afghan civilians, including seven children.
Spokesman John Kirby said Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin had received a high-level review of the strike that made no recommendation of accountability, AFP reported.

— Just One Wrong Move!
An intensification of the Israeli military threats against Iran seems to suggest that the Zionist regime has forgotten that Iran is more than capable of hitting them from anywhere. The Yedioth Ahronot newspaper said on Tuesday that Israel’s strike on Syria is “a direct message” to Iran. The chief of staff of the Israeli army has also accepted to increase the number of troops in the air force and the intelligence branch of the Israeli army to prepare for an attack on Iran, according to the Israeli media outlets.
— Vienna talks can be successful, but does U.S. want so?
As a fresh round of talks in Vienna are moving forward, there is big question here: Does the U.S. want talks to reach a successful conclusion? The U.S. president and his team constantly say that they hope diplomacy prevails, but they seem to be forgetting something. Their predecessor left them a broken house that is difficult to repair.

Until Sunday, there was a sense of optimism about possible progress in the Vienna talks. But optimism soon turned into pessimism by virtue of a Western harder-line stance that featured threats and bluster against Iran. The European trio in Vienna – France, Germany, and the UK (E3)- put out a downbeat statement late on Monday blaming Iran for lack of progress in the talks.
